MCPE-8737 0.11.1 Crashes on opening app Duplicate

Comments

Edgar Sanou I have iPod Touch 4 running 6.1.6, for which there are no jailbreaks (as far as I remember). Any further suggestions?

First, next time please give a link to your issue.
Second, MCPE-8479 is "Ghast killed by one punch".

Just look for as many as you can and vote.
Also, I think there are actually 2 separate issues: some people say it crashes immediately, some say it shows the Mojang logo for 30 seconds then crashes.

This has been reported at so many places I've lost track and I have no idea which is the original anymore. I wish Mojang would do something about this, but no mod has shown any interest in it at all. I'm getting pretty angry about this, as this is now a waste of $7 that I spent.

A mod has tested this issue and confirmed that it is real, rather than someone trying to spam or something like that.

I have the same problem as well. I wish Mojang would try to do something about this, but they're too busy with little bugs that don't affect anything... 😞

Many people have this issue. I suggest you go to MCPE-8752 as a moderator is already there.

I wonder... could this possibly be what is causing problems for iPod 4 and below? Something with MCPE reading the picture backward, perhaps?

This issue has been reported to MCPE-8752 and a mod is already there. Please go there! 🙂

If you have this issue, please go to #browse/MCPE-8752 to help consolidate the issue to one topic. Besides, a mod is already there.

I meant that Mojang should program into the game a folder where the player's skin will go, and then allow file transfer with that folder.

Can you elaborate on how to attach the crash log? What do you mean "attach to Jira"?

I have a crash log, but I don't how how to upload it. I'm entirely new to this website and it is really confusing.

I have several crash logs as well, but I am confused on how to attach them.

Oh, wait, I just realized file transfer already exists... well, add a new folder where a skin file will go, then allow users to transfer a skin to that folder.

This is a duplicate of a lot of other issues that have been created, just with different names. Unfortunately, no one at Mojang seems to care, as none of them have been assigned yet. I suggest you go vote for all of the rest of the ones that have that issue. (Try searching "0.11.1", I have found that seems to bring up a large amount of these issues, although you will have to search through some more to find them.)

Turning off wifi does nothing for me.

I had the same problem in 0.11.0, but I'm currently too busy trying to get someone to pay attention to the fact that 0.11.1 won't even startup on my device to worry about it.
