It has happened many other times, though in those other times, the items weren't there in his death spot. This was the first time the items were there after death.

In all those other times, he also died in the same way he died in the video.

I haven't yet gotten around to reproducing it yet, I'll send a video when I eventually do successfully reproduce it.

He said the client-server desync seems plausible, though he also said it also happened on his singleplayer world (a non-Realm world, which I don't think should have this issue since I don't think singleplayer worlds require an internet connection?).

As for the world upload, he said the Realm subscription has expired, so we gotta wait a few more days to renew the Realm subscription for now (he hasn't yet said anything about if he can or wants to upload the world, I guess I can just ask him about it again after he renews the Realm subscription).

The items were at the same exact spot he died, yes.

okay, so, here's the info my friend provided:

• Before the death, there was a "clamorous" (bad) lag, both because he had a slow internet connection and because the world is "very heavy" (which increases the lag), and he was also exploring the lands fast, so the world was kinda struggling at loading.

•  The lag was  "contained", and he wasn't exploring too fast, he was flying normally. He took all precautions, but he died either way (the death in this bug report wasn't the first time he died randomly, which is why he took precautions).

• There aren't any add-ons. Only the resource pack shown in the video.

• No firework stars were used. Just the base firework rockets.

I can't seem to join the Realm at the moment, so I can't yet attempt to reproduce the bug. I'll try to reproduce it as soon as I can.
