Hi, I'm not the original poster, but I'm replying to Jarl since I've noticed the same issue. The original poster already added a video, but since you requested it again I got one too.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the character creator and open up any category (Tops, Bottoms, Outerwears, Headwears, ect...)
2. Select almost any item, free or paid
3. Hit "get" on any free accessory or try to purchase any paid ones

Observed Results:
Sometimes, getting a free item or paid item in the character creator works on specific items, but most of the time a dialog box pops up and informs the player that "Something went wrong" and says, "Sorry, we were unable to complete your purchase. Maybe check your internet connection?"

When I first got the error, I thought maybe it really was the internet, but even after connecting to a stable and reliable connection, it still gave the same error message. As I already said, for some really weird reason it works sometimes on specific items, but doesn't work on everything else no matter how many times it's tried.

Expected Results:
A player tries to buy or "get" an item for free, no error pops up, and it gets added to the owned items.

I decided that I'd run a little experiment with the barriers and how they modify the shadows. It seems almost like the shadows are being rotated in a certain way that causes the odd look. Here's the images I had taken. I hope that these help.

I suspect that you didn't go to the Minecraft store and download "Music" made by Mojang.

I had been told if you make your skins into a skin pack this glitch doesn't occur, and it doesn't! this is only a temporary solution to keep this glitch at bay, however it's super inconvenient to make skin packs for every time you make one new skin

I have had a similar issue where it would connect the first time but in 30 seconds disconnect me and then I can't get back into the world because it always says "unable to connect to world"

However I can confirm it probably has to do with pulling up the menu

I had found new info on the bug! So it seems when I pull up the pause menu when I have my skin on I transfer my skin to the server host, however I was not sure If they saw it or If This changes one person because I was in a server with only me and the server owner.

Still not fixed, the other players should be made to update their game if It does have to do with version mismatches

I had that issue just go to settings, touch, and turn on split controls while waiting for the bug to be fixed.

I found this issue too, I get kinda annoyed When I am wearing my custom skin and then all of the sudden when another player joins with a custom skin then I end up wearing their skin. Something else I noticed is that I can't export multiple custom skins with out them all changing to the most recently exported skin, they maybe related.
