If you break a block underwater while swimming it will break the block that is situated on top of the block that you desire to break. Simply you can not make 1×1 tunnel underwater while swimming.

I've got different android devices and this bug occurs in both of them 😞
@Mega_Spud I am the reporter of this big. And here's my device info:
Samsung Galaxy J4+
Android 9, 2GB RAM.
I know its not a high end device, it still runs a little smoother in the current full release of the game
I hope this will get fixed 😞
@magwar I've tested this on two different devices where the first one is "Samsung Galaxy J2 core" OS: Android 8.1.0. And the second one is : "Samsung Galaxy J4+" OS : Android 9
