I am still having the error in 1.14.2, it also seems to effect the name field of the attribute effects of items.
I had this same issue, I don't know where the item came from but I have an item that has an empty name so now I have a shulkerbox that is useless to me
I am in 1.14.2
I saw this issue while looking through the wiki because I was experiencing the same bug, even with commands I can't set their anger timer to 0, it just resets, I decided to set the game to peaceful for a few minutes and see if that will fix it, this is a huge issue and definitely should not exist this far into the main branch of the game.
I did a little more research and apparently this is an NVidia issue and not an issue with MC or OBS so I will remove this if there is a way to, otherwise if a mod comes along, you can mark this as closed or something like that...
I had some other friends test out the setup with other software and the issue also occurs there. The fact that it only seems to happen with Minecraft makes me think it is something that could probably be fixed.
This was an actual server, not a lan, I have had issues with LANs before. As seen in the linked video, it still remains in current snapshots, however I had the issue in an earlier snapshots, I am unsure which
Can reproduce, all signs use white text instead of their corresponding sign item texts
No problem
I tested it in 1.13-pre3 and it no longer occurs
K, will do, it is an old project but if it still exists,in my opinion it requires fixing
Just to make sure you know, this is in a snapshot and being run from a function, I can post the function so you can attempt to reproduce
function
After quite a bit of research, only in command blocks, it won't summon the armorstand in the right dimension, the exact same command will work fine in the nether via me, via commandblock I get no errors or command block output
strangely the test works fine on my end as well, but the bug still exists
I had a friend do the test and it works as expected, only seems to effect my client, more testing required
reproduced succesfully, only seems to effect cod
I saw this bug in a video by logdotzip, let me check on my version
I have had this happen, I can't open my inventory at all in my profiile, I have to use the official snapshot profile
Affects 26.1.2
I did a bit of digging, and the cutoff seems to be related to velocity, rather than angle. When falling at least 10 blocks per second, your fall distance begins accumulating. The moment you fall less than 10 blocks per second, even if for a single tick, your fall distance gets set to one block per second
I set up a more reproducible test as well:
Load or create a superflat world with ground
Equip elytra and go into survival mode
Run
/tp ~ ~100 ~ 0 38.6Immediately deploy the elytra
When you touch the ground, you will not take fall damage
Run
/tp ~ ~100 ~ 0 38.7Immediately deploy the elytra
When you touch the ground, you will instantly die to fall damage
The exact angles involved here are a symptom of the actual issue, not the underlying cause. When flying at a 38.6 degree angle, you fall just under 0.5 blocks per tick. When flying at a 38.7 degree angle, you fly just over 0.5 blocks per tick. That falling rate is the cutoff, not the angle. You can add some commands to verify this in-game, or find the relevant code under
Entity.checkFallDistanceAccumulation()
