This bug still occurs on version 1.14.1. This started happening on the evening of Jan 17 2020 for me. It is affecting Minecraft on all my iOS devices (iPhone 8, iPad Pro 11” 2018, iPad Mini 5). It is not impacting Minecraft on my Nintendo Switch. It appears to be related to WiFi in some way. I tried using my phone’s cellular as a hotspot to load the game on my iPad Pro and it did not work. I was able to get the game to load on my iPhone after it had previously been freezing by turning off the WiFi and only using cellular data.
*update* I turned WiFi back on my iPhone that was working on cellular and the game went back to freezing on load. I’m not having any network issues that I’m aware of. I have not made any recent changes to my router or modem. I have an Orbi router if that matters.
This is happening for me on all iOS devices connected to WiFi. If I switch my iphone 8 to cellular, then I can get it to load fine. Hotspot doesn't seem to work for the other devices. Nintendo Switch works fine.
