I have this problem also in realms on nintendo switch.
Whenever we are playing in split-screen on our realm, player two is always named 'Steve' and connected via LAN rather than having our Microsoft account details. This means that player 2 can't access their purchased skin items or custom skins.
Only player ones microsoft account active. Player two uses player ones account even if player two has its own microsoft account.
