I tested the same thing. In Bedrock Realms, if the Language Filter is activated, § signs don’t work, it just disappears. But with the Filter, it works just fine. In Multiplayer Worlds, it does work tho, with Filter enabled. Also, the colours get transfered correctly when uploading the world to Realm, but as soon as you try to change the name of an item, it disappears.
Same thing with anvils, books and signs, not just renaming items.
