it's not solved if it still happen.
I agree for the duplicate, sorry about that.

We just had the occasion to test with other player, it's effectively related with MC-129994.

But it's a slight different problem, Here, instead of passing through glass panes the Pufferfish has a tendency of  suffocating in nearby blocks when inflating.

The fish died in the seagrass next to the door, yes.

possible solution :

my pufferfish may have suffocated while trying to "puff"
when they died they were in a corner of the tank.

Precision : those are glass blocks.
