This seems like a bug, however, I can not get this in my world, can you write some steps to reproduce this?

 

 

Can you give us screenshots or better screen recordings? Also can you try to see that there is nothing wrong with your computer, do you have enough memory in it? Please update your post, thanks.

Maybe try restarting your Nintendo Switch?

Have you done the things it said in the error? If you did and it still doesn't work:-

  1. Reopen Minecraft

  2. Restart your device

Maybe try to open 1.17 in Java? Also, are you using Lunar Client on 1.17 by any chance? Lunar uses Open Platform and that might be the issue.

Is MCPE-105490 similar to your issue?

 

Can you please tell us more specific details like-

  1. The Java version on your computer

  2. The version of Minecraft you are trying to play

  3. The MacOS version of your computer

Do you know any more information on this? 
1. Are you sure you didn't accidentally delete it by mistake?

2. Are you sure your computer didn't have any errors/delete anything during a restart?
3. This post is too vague, there could have been many ways you had an error on your end and it just simply isn't a bug, if you can confirm you didn't do any of this by mistake please update your post.

There might be issues with your internet or the servers you are trying to join, just press refresh in the multiplayer screen or reopen the multiplayer screen or just reopen Minecraft and try again.

As Dhranios said you have to mine it with a pickaxe, if you are new to Minecraft there are tons of guides on how to start playing,

You have to refresh and/or reopen the multiplayer screen, if that doesn't work just reopen Minecraft and try again
