I have this problem constantly on both of the computers I have Minecraft installed on. When building I will almost always place two blocks instead of one. This is especially annoying when the block is something like a slab as the game has a nasty habit of breaking both the copy and the block I placed. On occasion the game will place three blocks at once. I think there should be an option to make it so that you have to remove your finger from the button before it allows you to place another block.
I've seen this. Chunks unload but don't load. You can actually drop to the ground and go and sit right on the edge of the chunk, at which point you start vibrating like the game thinks you might be falling but keeps putting you back on the terrain.
Never mind, found a boat floating on plain water blocks.
Having this problem in the current release version of minecraft. It seems to happen when the boat is sitting near a rapid caused by taking water from an ocean with a bucket (which in itself is probably a bug) but not near enough for the boat to be caught by the rapid. I placed several boats in this area and others and the only ones that rose into the air were the ones I placed about a block away from a square of rapids that are moving away from the boat. The boat is in the square diagonally behind and bellow the rapids and may be pointing away from them. So like this:

I did use the search function but I didn't see anything in the title of that one that made it look like mine.
Ah well, at least this is something that might help if a player gets an obsidian block in the wrong place or tries to wall up behind the portal with obsidian blocks like I did.
Thanks I've walled up the back with cobblestone now so it should be 0k. Do you know if there are any plans to make it so you walk through the portals instead of standing in them, or making the worlds connected enough to drive a cart through?
It does cause a few problems for me since I suffer from lag a lot, it hasn't happened yet but every time I use the portal I very nearly get sent back before I can get out. The first time I tried to use it I walked right through it and fell down a cliff.
Wow, you fixed that fast!
By the way, I'm not sure if it strictly a bug or not, but you can walk all the way through an active portal and out the other side without travelling to the Nether. Do you know if it is supposed to do that or not?
It's not so bad with regular blocks, but with smooth stone it is a pest and with obsidian it's pretty awful if you don't have an diamond pickaxe enchanted with speed.
