So I had some weird audio spotting (I'm having difficulty trying to explain exactly how it sounded but it was kinda crackly and poppy but spotty and inconsistent nonetheless) and deduced it was something to do with my audio driver (realtek audio). Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver did nothing, and my get-around for the audio issue was to instead use some bluetooth speakers. However, after coming across this thread and reading the comments about Windows Spatial Sound, all I had to do was toggle the option (it was originally off for me) and it resolved my audio issues.

Don't know if it'll help anyone's issues or not, but it helped me.

Applies to top-down placement as well. See <

Windows 10 Pro - 1.12.0.2 Beta

So this just happened to me today and here's a list of what didn't work trying to get above Y=1:

  • Can't jump or auto-jump (obviously)

  • Can't walk up half-blocks (slabs)

  • Can't climb ladders

Also, when in this predicament, if gravel or sand falls on the player it glitch-pushes them through the bedrock layer below and causes them to fall out of the world & die.

This happens to me as well (Windows 10, beta 1.9.0.5), and was never an issue for me until the most recent update. The hand will reset itself after jumping or sprinting, as well as reloading the world. No issues with the use of any items (as far as I can tell), just a visual frustration.

So, this problem has happened only once, and only in this world. Before the problem happened, I do remember the program experiencing "lagging" issues (choppy gameplay for only 1-2 seconds at a time, blocks that are destroyed take 1-2 seconds to visually disappear, etc.) I have played consistently since the problem and have not experienced any of these issues.

Cannot upload save since it's barely over the 10 MB limit. So here's a link to it: Dimensions file-- (Edit: link removed since ticket is resolved).

With the most recent update, my Win 10 edition has a minimum render distance of 5 chunks and a maximum of 6, even though I have normally run at 24 chunks with no problems.

The open/close spamming is happening for me, too, even when standing still. Also, the same happens for trap doors.
