An explanation as to why this won't be fixed would be nice. Was it solved in a different way? Was it fixed with with another ticket? Are we just out of luck?

Confirmed in 1.16-rc1.

The disappointing part of this bug is that prior to 20w21a, structures would mostly generate around the normal terrain Y level for that structure. However, when the new world gen features were introduced, it broke that.

Confirmed in 1.16-pre5

Notes:

  • Desert temples appear to generate at an appropriate Y level

  • Ocean Monuments generate in the ocean (kind of. see attached)

To confirm, this still happens with the new world generation JSON when you use the "caves" generator settings. In 1.15 and early 1.16 snapshots most structures generated under the roof.

Still present in 20w18a. Additionally, this affects any dimension generated with the "caves" generation (i.e. buffet worlds)

I have changed my drop key to G. CMD + G die not drop a full stack.

Also, "drop stack" used to use the Control button. Control + Q would not quit the game.

I've experienced this, but have a workaround. It's awkward, but works.

Preconditions:

  • Have an item in your inventory; more than a few to a stack

Steps

  • User hovers mouse over item stack

  • User presses CONTROL+Q

    • One item drops

  • User presses COMMAND+Q

    • The rest of the stack drops

Expectations

  • Pressing CONTROL+Q should drop the entire stack initially
