Got a similar problem since 1.5 until now (1.7.2) When Copying a map and placing it in a frame all works fine until i have to copy the map again because I lost the original. I cant see my marker but I'm still able to explore new regions and see this on my map. Same Bug in MC-4764 and MC-39292
