Edited the post to match Mega-Spud's Feedback.
It seems to be fixed in 1.11. I've tested many world and all of them have normal Mineshafts. They are all pretty close to spawn too.
Thank you Mojang for fixing this bug. ^^
Hi, I'm having the same problem. I have waited beyond an hour for Insider Hub to unenroll me. I uninstall/reinstall and I still get the beta version. I am looking for help on here and Xbox Forums. This problem is yet to be resolved. I sincerely hope that Mojang does not expect me to buy a working full version again.
For beta build 1.2.10
-------------------------------
It is indeed not fixed, but there is a lot of progress.
I have tested the beta build and found out that the mineshafts are indeed spreading over the world again, sort of.
But the mineshafts are still generating within eachother, which makes mineshafts still a little bit messy.
The mineshafts are alot rather than they should be. But there is more than 1 this time, which is good progress
thank you very much ^^
Thank you for testing and sending in your results. ^^
I hope that the mojang team will fix the mineshaft bug in the next release.
Update:
Found in another seed a great example of mixed mineshafts
Thank you for your information. I have used that information to explore a bit more in a new seed.
I decided to explore and this time use the maximun scale of the map to explore more before I use the command /locate.
But even after exploring the big map, the /locate command didn't change at all.
I have made 4 screenshots of my exploration and 1 screenshot from the only mineshaft found on this world to prove that this bug is present.
Also, I have never played console I only played java-editon before and older versions of the bedrock edtion (or windows 10 beta) and beofoe the mineshafts worked there quite well.
Update: The bug is even worse than I thought. I found out that on all the seeds there is only 1 place where all the mineshafts are.
I have traveled all around the map on different seeds and used the /locate command. The location doesn't change no matter how far I am.
Oh neat, so this issue will be fixed in future snapshots I assume. I am very curious about what the new ore generation will be, can't wait for the future!
