Steps to reproduce:

  1. Place 2 observers facing each other to create a clock.

  2. Put a dispenser facing a wall to receive redstone power from one of the observers.

  3. Acquire a mostly broken trident from a Drowned (not necessary, but makes it easier to test.)

  4. Place it in the dispenser so it gets fired.

  5. Pick up the trident and put it back in repeatedly until it breaks when fired.

Observed results:

Upon collection, the trident will be newly undamaged.

Expected results:

It should either break when hitting a target or be unable to be fired, such as when throwing it in Survival.

Still happens with (at least) Husks and Strays.

Could not verify in testing.

Noticed this the other day.

Didn’t happen in a new world I created.

By that I mean the trial chamber is whole, without the chunk issues.

Update: when I created the world from the same seed new, the village isn’t there at all and the trial chamber isn’t bugged.

I found this trial chamber with an issue which seems similar, though it looks normal above ground. I also found this village nearby with multiple chopped up houses, which I imagine is due to the same issue, especially since the coordinates of the last image sit at chunk coordinates of (0,0). Note that this is the latest version.
