I am experiencing exactly the same issue on an iPad (8th generation) running iPadOS 26.6 with Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.33 Hotfix.
The game works perfectly when launched offline.
If Wi-Fi is enabled before launching, the game crashes during startup.
If I launch offline and then enable Wi-Fi, the game continues working until I try to sign in with my Microsoft account.
I originally reported this as MCPE-241244, but it was marked as a duplicate of MCPE-176569. I believe this issue matches MCPE-240972 much more closely.
