I'm still experiencing this problem on 1.2.8 running on Android 4.4.4. My kids have been unable to play for 3 months. I have tried the following:

  • Rebooting tablet

  • Disabling wifi from restricted profile and starting the app

  • Clearing cache from the restricted profile

  • Uninstall/reinstall app from master profile

  • Clearing cache for Google Play Services

Note that on Android 4.4.4, Google Play Games cannot log into a Google account from a restricted profile. I did confirm Youtube Kids is working from the restricted profile.

Google Family Link is only available for Android 6.0 and up, so that isn't an option for me other. If the app now requires a Google account login from the restricted profile, perhaps this means Minecraft PE no longer supports Android 4.4 and 5.0.

Same issue here. Tablet (Acer A1-840 running Android 4.4.4) belongs to my son. I have the app installed on a restricted profile so he cannot access the store. I have a profile which I use to install software updates. Minecraft runs on my profile, but displays the "It appears you don't have a license for Minecraft." error on his profile.

It was working fine before software updated to Minecraft version 1.2.2.3.
