How is this working as intended if other animals can be bred while they are in a minecart?

I keep settings to the max. Plus, I tested out with cows to be sure that the other animals are still breeding in minecarts. And the cows produced a baby.

Yes, I tamed them. At first I forgot, but when I saw that no hearts came out when i fed them the golden carrots, I knew I needed to tame them. 😛

As of newest release 1.8.2 Pre1, you still can't breed horses in minecarts.

If it's working as intended, then why can other animals breed within a mine cart?

Maybe. That's why i posted the y Level in case I needed to be at a higher altitude.

This is terrible. On top of the fact you can't steer your boat, you can't even stop the boat from moving. You have to wait until it runs out of momentum.

Mushrooms block as well.
