If it hasn't updated automatically, you can go to the Microsoft Store and use the "Check for updates" option and the option to update Minecraft should appear.

There was an update and it fixed the problem in my case, please everyone try it to see if it fixed the problem.

This happens to me, whether I open from the launcher or from anywhere else.

It's Minecraft Bedrock and even if I start it from the store or the start, the desktop, wherever it is, it crashes me.

The terrain is from before 1.8. I know the generation is different, but before 1.21.5 pre-3, there was a transition between old and new chunks where the difference was barely noticeable. It wasn't that abrupt.
