The button in the pause menu checks whether there are any reportable players before enabling itself, so it seems likely that the keybind isn't intended to work.
net.minecraft.client.gui.screens.PauseScreen
List<Entry<UUID, PlayerInfo>> list = this.minecraft
.player
.connection
.getSeenPlayers()
.entrySet()
.stream()
.filter(entry -> entry.getKey() != this.minecraft.player.getUUID())
.toList();
if (list.isEmpty()) {
playerReportingButton.active = false;
playerReportingButton.setTooltip(NO_PLAYERS_TO_REPORT_TOOLTIP);
}There currently isn’t any check in net.minecraft.client.gui.Gui#handleKeybinds, which would explain the inconsistent behavior.
while (options.keySocialInteractions.consumeClick()) {
if (!this.minecraft.isMultiplayerServer() && !SharedConstants.DEBUG_SOCIAL_INTERACTIONS) {
this.chatListener.handleOverlay(SOCIAL_INTERACTIONS_NOT_AVAILABLE);
this.minecraft.getNarrator().saySystemNow(SOCIAL_INTERACTIONS_NOT_AVAILABLE);
} else {
if (this.socialInteractionsToast != null) {
this.socialInteractionsToast.hide();
this.socialInteractionsToast = null;
}
this.setScreen(new SocialInteractionsScreen());
}
}
The easy fix would be to increase the spacing between the icon buttons.
