It may be outdated, however...the Apple Store specifically has functions for quality control which this seems to have bypassed. Mojang needs to inform Apple that users with IOS 5.1.1 can only use the LAST version...not the current version. Otherwise every user with an older device is screwed.
I have a son that is DEVASTATED by this, and is freaking out because the world he has been working on seems to be lost...at the very least he can't work on it.

same issue installed from Apple store on June 7th.
Same issue, on iPad model MB294LL (original ipad with 64gb) .
Both my boys have now lost both of their worlds, but I was able to get back to running on an earlier version of the application (finally). As we are planning a long famliy drive I wanted to try and get it at least "playable" for them.
As a parent, I am not impressed that Mojang has done nothing to address this issue.
