I know the full command and I did not write it down. Also the command block would give me a message if the command would be wrong, wouldn't it?
I got the same issue.
Then nothing works, even the command for MCPE itself like /particle minecraft:test_smoke_puff ~ ~ ~. I tried some of them and before they all worked but now they are NOT. And the official commands are the same. Maybe you could test it yourself. @cjc
