The coordinates (in the overworld) that I used to go to the nether were: -375, 45, -1. But I tried going out the nether through 3 different portals far away from each other and it didn't work with any of them. I even made a new portal in the nether and it crashed as well.
Anyway, I bought windows 10 edition, uploaded my world to a realm and downloaded it on windows and it worked perfectly. No crashes at all, not even when trying to exit the nether.
I am going to upload the world from windows to the realm and download it on PS4 to see if it works. But it's weird because I can create a new world on PS4 and play without problems.
So something whatever is happening is happening only to my world and only on PS4.
And yes, I made a backup copy of the world before uploading it to 1.18.0
I have just tried creating a new world using the same seed and it created a totally different world. Is that even possible?
World seed: 1677334364
Generation was radically changed in this update and most seeds generate very differently than they used to. I can confirm that it isn’t the seed causing the crash. I have reopened your original report so we can follow up there.
My world keeps crashing whenever I try to leave the nether through a portal. Everything else seem to work fine. It loads the world everytime and the tarrain generation seems correct. It crashes sometimes, but that used to happen before the update as well.
So the main problem is fixed but I still can't lave the nether unless I kill myself.
I just tried playing on a smaller world I have (30 mb) and everything works well. No crashes, no world corruption, no issues loading the world or with terrain generation, no lag, and no problems leaving the nether through portals, which is my main issue in my old world (950 mb).
So the problem seems to be with big size worlds.
I have been trying several things in the last two days, making copies of my world and updating them, and sometimes I works without problem for a few minutes but the game always ends up crashing and all the "corrupted world", "out of storage", "issue loading world"... messages appear and either the textures are messed up or the blocks of my buildings are placed randomly when I manage to open the world again. So it seems that if you are lucky, you can play for a while, but it will always end up corrupted at some point.
Anyway, my problem being unable to leave the nether through the portals persists.
It's true that there are some comments that describe similar problems as mine, but I haven't notice any lag to be honest. But yes it could be the same issue since in that threat they relate the nether crashing with the blocks issues, which is what is happening to me.
Regarding the possibility to export my world file, to do that I guess I need to have Minecraft for PC as well right? Cause I don't have it... so I could upload it to a realm but not download it on PC.
Thanks!
I wasn't able to load my world at the beginning because, as stated by many in here, the first time i got an "Out of storage" message, which is not true at all, and the rest of time a "There was an issue loading this world" message.
When I finally managed to enter my world, I played for an hour without any problem and entered the nether, but couldn't get out. When trying to go through the nether portal to the overworld, the game crashed every single time. As a desperate measure, I killed myself to leave the nether, but the game crashed and I haven't been able to load it again. Just like when I tried to play this version for the first time, it showed a message that said "Out of storage" (this time with a pink and black background), and now it says "There was an issue loading this world" again.
My world is 950 mb. Luckily I have a recent backup copy, but I don't want to open it cause it will probably get corrupted as well.
Please fix this.
Edit: I was able to load my world again. But after playing for a while, the same thing happened. I kept trying and loaded it again, but it had deleted a lot of my map, creating random spaces full of water and making me lose a lot things I had built. I closed it, opened it again, and now its all pink and black and with a lot of things deleted.
Hello Thibault! I have the exact same problem. Did you ever manage to fix it?
I have the same problem as many of the above. I play on Nintendo Switch and wanted to upload my solo world to my realm so I could download it on ps4. But whenever I try to upload the world to the realm, it says an error has occurred... It starts the level export but when it's about to finish, the programe closes and the message "the software was closed because an error occurred" appears.
I have tried searching for corrupt data but nothing was found. I also tried some of the advices commented in this post, such as reseting the map, downloading the software again, renaming the file, etc... but nothing works.
My information:
Using version 1.17.11
Error message: The software was closed because an error occurred.
Nintendo Switch
No add-on packs
World size around 610 mb
Tried but didn't work
Considering this is an open issue since 2017, it should be stated before allowing you to buy the subscription. I was lucky I used the free trial. But even so, it is a free trial I wont be able to use.
EDIT: I created a new world, played for a few minutes and tried to upload it to the realm. It worked perfectly fine. So the problem, in my case at least, seems to be the size of the world. But if realms can handle 5 GB worlds, how is it possible that I can't upload a 600 MB world?
Never mind, it got fixed with the Nether update!
Okay I made some research. Do I need to buy a Realm in order to transfer my world to Windows 10 and then be able to export it and share it? Does it work this way on Nintendo Switch? Because everything I have found was regarding Xbox One
And I guess this can not be done on Mac right?
Sure! But I dont really know how to export the world from my Nintendo Switch to a OneDrive file, so if you could explain it to me or link a tutorial I would appreciate!
I have the same problem. I just tried to upload 5 different worlds (four of them are copies of the same 953 mb world and the other one is a 30 mb world) and I got that message every single time. I have plenty of space in my PS4 and on Minecraft. I deleted the worlds I had in my realm and still doesn't work.
Yesterday I uploaded a 400 mb world without problems and today no matter how many times I try, it is impossible to do it.
Please fix this, everytime I pay for a realm theres a bug that won't let me use it.
