Same Nick! It does exactly the same thing!
I don't really know what's really going on behind the development of Windows Mobile versions, but I do know by heart that 'it if ain't broken, don't fix it'. The issue exactly reappeared after updating from 1.5 to 1.6.
Same issue here. Minecraft 1.7 update has been released today, I updated the game but instead of going into the black screen it just simply crashes after few frames of menu background.
Same boat here, updated to 1.7, instead of getting into black it just crashes the game altogether. Using Lumia 640 XL LTE.
I'm on the same boat, Minecraft 1.7 update has been released today, I updated the game but instead of going into the black screen it just simply crashes after few frames of menu background.
I'm using Lumia 640 XL btw.
Affects Lumia 640 XL and 640 XL LTE
This happens on Lumia 640 XL LTE (possibly as well as the standard 640 XL) too.
WHAT ELSE I'VE NOTICED: Once Minecraft (supposedly) gets to main menu screen EVERY SINGLE app and even including Live Tile screen may get completely black until Minecraft crashes. This may have to do something with Minecraft messing up with the display API on the whole phone. Please fix ASAP.
It's not just on Xbox One. It's on all platforms. When I minimalize this game on Windows 10, the game will be completely suspended and it's really annoying when that happens because it always ends up rerendering chunks unneccesarily or even disconnecting to the server I connected to.
I understand that it should be suspended on mobile phones, because their power is limited and that decision in fact helps with battery saving, but the stationary platforms (or even Switch) shouldn't be punished because of that limitation.
I have got Windows 10 Mobile with 10.0.14393.448 update installed.
It doesn't matter now anyways. It automatically downloaded 1.2.11 update for Minecraft and that resolved it 🙂 Thanks for the patch!
I've tried it. Still doesn't work. I've also tried switching on/off cellular data, Wi-Fi and battery saver and that didn't help either.
I've just got a Lumia 640 XL LTE and this game doesn't work in 1.2.10 update. Please look into it. You've fixed the game for Lumia 535 but now my phone was stolen and I'm using this current one.
Shame really. You should contact Microsoft for the solution since they own this IP and WM10, and it's mind blowing to see that the game doesn't run on their own platform... geez... I'm so fed up with this. 😞
@Mega_Spud Please look up into this issue because it's not really a 'resolved' one. It's still there on 1.2.10. I've also got Microsoft Lumia 640 XL (LTE though one so maybe that's the issue), and I cannot get into the game. Also you need to bear in mind that Windows Mobile phones have a closed operating system and things you mentioned such as access to root directory is not possible at all.
I was able to get into the game today, my skin got overwritten because I was editing it yesterday when it wouldn't load so I decided to create it again on my phone, once I've finished I've closed down Minecraft of both platforms and ever since then anytime I try to launch the game on PS4, either with or without wearing a VR headset it either gets stuck on Mojang logo screen or just a pure black screen. I've restarted the PS4 couple of times now and still nothing. Cannot afford to reinstall the whole game as it would take days to download it due to my poor internet bandwidth.
