@Debout Vivien Sorry to say it, but you should probably go ahead and just start a new, smaller world like I did. This Issue was created in 2018 and since then Mojang have clearly shown they are unable or unwilling to fix this major bug.
@Holly Mitchell The problem has never gone away for me, I've checked my original world with every new update. I gave up ever having it be playable months ago and created a new world. I'm scared of exploring too far for fear of this bug happening again, but it's better than no Minecraft.
@BDSAC There has been no movement on this issue for over two years! Mojang clearly do not know how to fix this or even what causes the issue, they just won't admit it!
Yes!! This is exactly what is happening to me! After I made a long trek to a Woodland Mansion, my file size swelled to over 300MB, and now the game won't save no matter what I do (this began almost two years ago and I have essentially been locked out of my world ever since).
I thought the problem was the infamous 'You are out of data storage space and minecraft is unable to save your progress' bug (MCPE-32501), but since that has supposedly been fixed now and my world this must be the problem; the game can't handle worlds of over 300MB big for whatever reason.
Mojang, please get on this! I have seen other people specifically talking about the 300MB issue, it badly needs to be addressed!
When is this beta version likely to go live for the full game?
Just to confirm (as if we needed it) that v.1.14.20 on Switch is still borked.
My world has somehow shrunk in size from over 1GB to 327.2MB since this critical problem began almost 2 years ago, but at least that shows you it's not really a file size problem.
Yours forever locked out of Minecraft,
James
@Xander
4 months? First report of this I've seen was 20+ months ago! We'll be coming up on two years soon!!
I have just tried the Bees update on Switch and, what a shock, it's still not fixed. I still cannot save my game and I cannot play for more than 10 minutes without the game crashes out.
This has officially been affecting people for over 20 (!!!) months now. Absolutely disgraceful from Mojang. Honestly, we should think about submitting this to regulatory bodies at this point as they are knowingly selling a broken product and have never once fully come out and addressed it.
Another update is here (1.1.20), and still nothing has changed.
It's a disgrace that Mojang barely acknowledges this issue exists, let alone gives us any updates on progress addressing it.
I'm honestly thinking of starting a petition about this to raise public awareness about the problem, and to hopefully force Mojang into doing something. I honestly don't know what else to do at this point 😞
Version 1.11.4 released today (at least on Switch) and, guess what... the issue still isn't fixed!
When is Mojang going to admit that either:
a) they don't have a clue what the issue is
or
b) they don't care
or both!!
Almost another month has gone by and still I can't use my world. Happy Minecraft 10th anniversary!!
Has anyone tried the 1.11.04 beta on PC and confirm that this is issue is fixed, as has been promised? I'm coming to the end of my tether with this, I think its been over six months now...
This is probably related to this issue, so you're probably going to be boned for a while like a lot of us https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-32501
Just tried my world again with 1.11.0.0 update. Nothing has changed. Guess I'll have to wait for the 1.11.0.4 update (please don't take months more to release!!) but I'm not hopeful after all these months that this problem will ever be sorted 😞
@jonathan hazel It might be a duplicate, but
a) it's hard to search for issues on this forum
b) MCPE-32501 has still not been fixed after at least 10 months of being a known, serious problem!
This is the same as MCPE-32501 , which is affected all versions of the game and has been known about for a long time.
Pretty sure that's not the problem Gael, as this issue is affecting all platforms, not just the PC versions.
This seems to be happening across all versions, and not just betas, including Switch (like me).
When are we going to have some sort of statement that this is being looked into? Two major updates have gone by and its still not fixed! I haven't been able to play my world for about four months now!
My world, which fluctuates in size between 400mb - 800mb for whatever reason, now begins to copy but gets stuck at around 42% before eventually crashing to the Switch dashboard (a familiar occurrence!)
Playing the world still freaks out and crashes to the Switch dashboard after a few minutes, although it took about 5 minutes+ rather than the usual 2 minutes+ to do it on the last test.
How many more months is it going to be until I can play my game again 😞
@Christian Portilla We recently passed the three year anniversary of the creation of this Issue, and the problem had been around at least 6 months before that. So, no, Mojang has still not fixed this.
