The problem is within bubble columns. Column of flowing water with only one source water block on top became all filled with water source block when you put magma block / soul sand below. I hope this get fixed.

I have exactly the same problem. Only animals on the sea....
I have exactly the same problem. After last updated game start to crash. Every time I try to plant sugarcane the game quits. I am planting them in sand, next to water, and I was able to do this before last update.
