I have done this in 1.16.100 and I cannot get the leader of the pack either. I started a new world just to do achievements with no addons of any kind and only in survival on hard.

This is still a problem for 1.14 i just had 3 different pillager patrols spawn inside my village in less than 3 minutes. 

This has been happening to me to with Horses and donkey that I had name tagged and leashed since 1.13.

Each time the game gets an update it causes my villagers to unlink from their workstation and ruins my trading halls. this makes me to not want to play on realms at all.

I have the same problem my kelp farm that was working fine before the up date no longer seems to be growing at all. I sat here for 20 plus minutes and not a single plant grew.
