I am having this issue too. I can craft all the other items from quartz, but nit the pillars. They are still an item in creative, but there is no recipe for them in survival.

This is a very annoying bug. I had signs next to all my chests and every other time I log back in to realms, half of the signs in the room fall off. After replacing them numerous times I switched item frames, but it still happens with them too.
