Bug still valid in 1.20.2 vanilla.
Problem still valid!
Running Vanilla 1.20.2 Server. And the error is there.
Seems to be fine since 1.17.2.10
Seems like an equal Issue → BDS-13806
We think it is related to the new Server-Version 1.17.1. Could you verify that?
Try to switch back to 1.17.0.03 to validate that 😉Â
@hamuelthebest this seems just to validate, that this issue is related to mixed up File Versions on the Server. And in your case, all files where fine, so your server runs fine. 😉 It's detectable, so it would be great if the server would push this typ of information into the log.
To my point of view → The Game / Server should report an error, if some of the server files don't have the right version or got mixed up!

It could be fixed by Server Re-Instalation.
1) Backup "permissions.json", "server.properties", "whitelist.json" .. "worlds" etc
2) Clean Re-Install Minecraft Bedrock Dedicated Server 1.17.x.xx
3) Re-Add "permissions.json", "server.properties", "whitelist.json" .. "worlds" etc

Also the new Items are not available?!
And you can't craft them ..
The issue is valid/reproducible under Creative / Survival ..
We have the same issue on tow different servers, too.
Even, new generated worlds, create the same bug 😞
Bug still exists 1.16.221

thanks for your feedback, about the way I wrote the text. I fear the Bug will not care about my emotional rating for him 😉 But I do.
Are you aware that most of your Feedbacks, if someone like me scrolls through all your Comments, are about how a written Text is and not addressing the Issue someone is experiencing or its related to the discussed Topic? Do you think this actually helps in the long run the authors or the persons who may fix the addressed topic and has to read this, too?
Can you add some Feedback to the actual topic, please?

Changing the "spawn protection" to 0, didn't fix the bug to our observations.
