This is not a bug.  If you put beds and workstations inside of a villager's search radius, then they will claim and use them.

Another consequence of this is that a villager can "claim" a workstation that it cannot reasonably pathfind to.  I have villagers dead set on getting to workstations that they have never touched, and never will.

Can confirm for 1.14 Pre-4 and Pre-5 on Linux Mint 18.3 'Sylvia' xfce 64-bit

Can confirm this is still happening in 19w11b.  Villagers run around in "fear mode" for an indefinite amount of time, with no hostile mobs in the vicinity.

This happens to me in 19w11b.  Environment:

Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia

GUI: Xfce 4.12, distributed by Xubuntu

The same as the previous comment (Boop).  It happens in full screen windowed mode, but not in any other size window.

They have to have an available bed and a workstation to choose a profession. I have used a spawn egg and this worked fine in 19w11b.

Can confirm.  I have met all the requirements.  Beds, workstations, food, even trading the last spot repeatedly.  Villagers will "love mode" each other constantly, no babies.

Can confirm.  Upgraded world from previous snapshot.  Crashes as soon as I look at a barrel and now crashes on open.
