This has been confirmed on iPad Air 2 running iOS 9.0.2 as well. The game version is also 0.13.1. This bug did not appear in 0.12.x.

This also affects MCPE version 0.13.0 and 0.13.1 running on the iPad Air 2 (iOS 9.0.2).

Thanks! I searched "ghast" but nothing popped up so I though I might as well report the bug.
