Cannot upload as I am on Xbox One. I'm not able to buy a Realm Subscription to upload, and worlds are over 100 MB.
Issue is still present. "Unable to connect to the world. Please check your connection to the internet and try again."
Hotfix 1.16.201 did not fix for me. "Unable to connect to world. Please check your connection to the internet and try again."
Reminder I haven't been able to open worlds since early November.
I don't have a realm subscription currently, and the free trial requires payment option to start. I would if I could.
Additionally, a backup save created 2 years ago (before lots of progress) loads fine. I hope someone else here has access to W10 to get the necessary saves to help this bug get fixed.
This is copied from my report:
Opening the worlds leads to "Unable to connect to the world. Please check your connection to the internet and try again." I am the owner, I turned multiplayer on or off, and it is not a Realm. All other old worlds work fine, and copies of these two worlds do not work either. I disabled my Xbox connection to the internet and it has the same effect. Again, I am the owner and it is saved to my console. No connection should be failing because a connection in not needed for offline and hosted worlds.
When it reaches the "Unable to Connect" screen, my internet slows tremendously. Barely any device can load webpages, reddit, or anything using internet. It appears that screen hangs and causes the internet to slow, even after selecting "Ok" it takes up to 1 minute to return to the main menu. Without much knowledge of this type, this appears to be some kind of memory/connection leak based on the long pause and slow internet.
Uninstall and reinstall did not fix this issue.
An additional note: Buttons appear to a mob as a solid block to jump onto, which is not possible. The mob repeatedly jumps above the button.
I would like to contest this relocation to Xbox support, because this is a problem encountered by all Xbox One Bedrock Edition players. I have reported this Xbox support multiple times in the past with no solutions or help. This is an issue present only in Bedrock Edition.
As of today's date, this update loop glitch is back again for me. This must be a very isolated issue, but nonetheless very irritating.
Here is my confirmation of it being on Xbox One Bedrock. This is a glitch. Players with the permission level of "custom" can use the game mode commands if cheats are enabled. They do not need operator status as required. Furthermore, if they change to creative mode, they can break blocks which respawn, fly and take fall damage, and see the creative inventory but not take items from it. This only affects non host players with the world having cheats enabled. This is game breaking for custom maps including my own.
A tip for map makers experiencing this: change all players to "Member" status. Surprised that it hasnt been fixed yet being found months ago on switch.
For me, it is the city texture brought from 360, to Xbox one, to bedrock edition. I do not think this issue is only the city texture because this loop happens every time I open a world.
As an update, the updating packs 2 loading bar is gone. What isn't gone is the updating packs 1 of 1. I spent over an hour trying to simply play minecraft. This glitch needs fixed ASAP. I have a quarter of a second to press B during the updating pack 1 of 1 to cancel it, which lets me select my world a second time to load in. If I fail, I have to restart minecraft, to which because it is Bedrock on xbox, it takes about a minute to reopen because it's un-responsive, then add the 3 minute loading screens. Deleting the textures does nothing.
As of currently, any world with the city texture will not open, spent about an hour restarting, deleting and re-opening. This renders the game unenjoyable.
I have removed the textures and reinstalled completely in the storage files. The issue went away for me after a week of the loop, but I opened up a default texture world and it came back.
I reported this bug already, MCPE 37149
Autosave is your culprit. I have experienced autosave and all of the problems it causes. This "freeze" also happens when you or a multiplayer member travels on your world, causing the game to autosave.
I have regained access to my maps on April 8th. I don't know if this was an issue that was fixed, or an accidental fix. This bug is still marked as Unresolved so I completely assume it was accidentally fixed. I suggest continuing to look into how to avoid this again, as it was very disappointing to lose access to 7+ years of work for 6 Months. Thank you everyone involved with trying to resolve this bug.
