Same issue here! Started on Tuesday (23rd Of June 2020) when 1.16 came out. Just minutes before updating on both our devices, i sent an invite to join and was successful however minutes after updating and inviting nothing shows up on the receiving end of the invite. All connections are fine and have re-downloaded the game on both devices.. Nothing.. Any help or fix would be appreciated. 🙂 

( P.S - I do not receive invites from them. The only way i can play with them is on a server.. 😞 )

Same issue on PC too! Can't seem to login.. Account has previously been logged in but for some reason cant log in. Image attached shows the message which appears and doesn't seem to do anything.

I just did this with beetroot I didn’t die however probably lucky because it sent me 4000 blocks away and in the middle of an ocean and underwater

I found that if your game isn’t loading because you exited the game while stuck then try change the game settings like peaceful to normal or something along those lines. I did that and it worked for me although it was on Xbox one realm

Another update had a regular world where I had a gateway prior to the new update and it was also broken however after I respawned the dragon and killed it a new egg dragon egg appeared along with another gateway which did work so I’m guessing don’t use any gateways you had prior to the newest update. Most  definetly do not leave the world if you are stuck in it get someone to kill you or starve to death 

Happened to me also on Xbox survival world luckily friend was with me he killed me but got stuck also when I flew to the coordinates with an elytra found that he was just floating all the blocks in a certain radius around the gateway had disappeared and so did the gateway itself the blocks were there just invisible 

Update: can’t even log in to play it’s a realm on Xbox
