I found a fix, just sign out and back in your Xbox live account. It got me my capes back.

So yes, I owned and downloaded both the pancake cape pack and founders day pack. So they should not be made unavailable for me now.

I had the pancake cape and the founder’s day skin pack, both are totally gone. I downloaded them both so I should have them, where are they? They just vanished

If opening the chat doesn’t work like it does for most people then who knows, maybe the opposite works for you. Try leaving the bed and then reopening your world. Or scroll through the comments, I think a couple people have found other ways of fixing it.

In answer to your question James, you don't have to time it, anywhere in those three seconds you can spam the chat button. From there it's pretty simple, the game shouldn't crash but you still can't play your world due to the overlayed chat and world selection screen. So close the game and reopen it, now your world should work fine.

Somethingclever in answer to your question, most of the people here had/have the world open to the bed screen for just a moment before it crashes. So your answer is no, it's doesn't freeze, it crashes. So I'm guessing the trick to fix it doesn't work for you, hitting the open chat button. It's supposed to let you if you do it right before the crash, then it freezes, then you close the app and reopen it to find that the world works again. But if your game goes straight to the freezing then I wouldn't know how to help.

Hey all, I found a way to fix my world so I figured I’d share in in the hopes that it will work for you guys. Open the world but be prepared to act quick, the moment it opens just spam the open chat button. It might work differently for some people but for me it really opened the chat. It overlaid it with the world selection screen much like the original bug but I was able to type and send. That was all though, but it did prevent the crash. Now quit the app and reopen the world and it should work fine again. I have my world back. And yes, I did this on IOS which is my version, it’s the one that crashes the fastest so it is still possible for this trick to work.

I was pretty irked at first as well, but in the end it’s just a game. A very good game thanks to Mojang, they’ve made it incredibly diverse and fun, and they work hard to bring us new features. I’m surprised at how long it’s taken them to fix this but it’s okay, they have a lot on their hands, especially after such a big update. They’ll have it fixed soon enough. Besides, we can still play, I’ve been playing on my friend’s world since my main survival world took the plunge. It’s unlikely that more than one of our own worlds will have this bug, especially if we don’t sleep until the bug is fixed. Very few people have gotten the bug without a crash during sleeping. I’ve even made new worlds just to kill time on. Explore some free maps from the store if you like.

This happened to me on my main survival world, except it did crash while I was in a bed. I can’t fix it because I don’t have cheats enabled and I play on IOS so it crashes before I can try to leave my bed. This just occurred last night but I really hope it gets fixed soon, I don’t like what you guys are saying, that it’s been here for almost 50 days and still isn’t fixed.
