Founder's cape has disappeared from Character Creator

The Founder's Cape is gone, and even though my character was wearing it, it got unequipped. Pancape is still fine for me. Happened after updating to 1.16.100.

This bug is fixed in the latest beta version, and the fix will be included in a future update when that is ready for full release (no specific date can be given). We will leave this ticket open as a point of reference until the fix has been fully released.

Same here on ps4. I had the cape equipped but lost it when i switched to the pancake one. Hope it gets fixed soon as it was my favorite cape.

Same here on Windows 10 Bedrock, the Founder's Cape mysteriously disappeared from the Character Creator place even though it is still attached to my Minecraft skin

Here to report the same, as redundant as it is. Had the cape equipped, though at the time didn't think as to why the cape wasn't listed until after I had switched to the Pancape.

I tried going the latest beta of minecraft, and it's still not giving me my cape back p.s. I'm on android 

Same on xbox one. The founders cape is no longer in my cape tab. This is the same for my son's character.

Same on Android and Windows 10. I can use it. But it is gone. If I Select another cape... It will be gone.

Experiencing the same. Claimed the cape the moment is was available but now it disappeared what my gallery.

Same, my character still has it equipped on my Nintendo Switch, but it is gone from my creator. I can't seem to find the cape pack in the market on my switch either.

So I guess I got to make sure I don't unequip it, until the cape pack reappears.

Can confirm Bedrock Founders Cape has also gone missing from my PS4 profile. However, the Pancape; which I have saved to a second skin, remains accessible.

Another thing to add is that my founder cape just recently disappeared off my character even though i had it before the update with the bug

It did it to me too. I had it equipped and I saw that it was missing in the capes list, so I didn't unequipped it. But today my skin was unable to load, and I lost the cape 😞

Yep, in Nintendo Switch also my cape disappeared, i have two skin profiles, one lose it and other one still have it, i must save that profile 😞

This happened to me too, I unequipped and it no longer exists, it is not even in my marketplace owned packs, yet I had it...

yup. It's gone for me too. I really liked it and i really hope a new update comes soon with this fixed because i am hating having to wear the pancape

I have this problem too. I just edited my character on my phone and the cape just disappeared.

My cape is gone too, I entered to a friend's world but my cape came out in the front instead of back so I took it off, but as soon as I did, the cape disappeared from inventory.

I have this issue as well, I had it equipped but changed to my other cape, and the founder's cape vanished from my capes section. Oddly enough, I was able to find the skins that the cape has with it via a google search for the store item, and was able to equip the cape via the skins section, but not the character creator

I have the same problem on Switch, except both capes went.

So I left a report on that same bug, I think it's a 1.16.101 bug, they said they can't do anything about it, I also hope I can get mine back, one thing that may help, is that the achivement images won't load, nor will my profile picture, I REALLY hope mojang will give us the capes that we purchased back. If any of you know a mojang employee, please tell them about this and have them give our capes back. If anyone else's minecraft images won't load and you have the same images, please reply to this message

I signed out and back into my Microsoft Account, and now the cape is there.

Joshua after you log out of Minecraft you need to exit then restart Minecraft and than login. You'll also needs to clear sign in data

My Founder’s Cape has also disappeared. 

Clearing the sign in data and re-logging into my Microsoft account didn’t solve the issue for me. 

Alright, GlitchDestroyer's method worked for me, but when i logged in the next day, it disappeared again.

Probably the same thing happening to me. I'm on windows 10. I had it on before and now it's just gone.

I am so confused what just happened. I Just made it 'switch to classic skin' and then go back on the capes tab and the founder's cape is back again. No clue why it doesn't show up in the new skin system mode.

Hello, I'm also chiming in. I want to say that I got it right before I tried to get the nether update early in beta like some others but for me, the game wouldn't update so I tried one of the solutions in an official Microsoft help page for windows insider which was to get out of beta, uninstall the game and reinstall, join beta etc. That got me in 1.16 but the cape was gone.
 

I have the same issue, i just logged in minecraft and the founder's cape disappeared i have the skin pack but the cape is not showing up whatever i do.

I am so confused, i just logged in minecraft today and the cape was back!

Says fixed, I updated, yet I still don't have it anymore, nor is it in my marketplace owned.

The 1.16.200 changelog states:

Players that own The Founder's Cape will once again see it within the Capes tab of the Dressing Room

For those still affected, did you actually own the Founder's Cape? If you did not own the Founder's Cape and were only able to use it due to MCPE-84673 then this is working as intended. Only players who downloaded the Founder's Cape skin pack during Minecon 2019 should have the option to use the cape.

Wait, they are telling us it isn't supposed to be in here. Then how come on Minecraft.net, there is a Founder's Cape skin pack. I didn't even own the skin pack and I had it. There have been similar capes to the Founder's Cape in the past Minecons, but the Founders cape wasnt in a Minecon that I am aware of.

You needed to claim the skin pack for free on the Marketplace back in Minecon 2019. If you claimed it afterward through the website or never had the skin pack at all, it probably won't show for you. I claimed the skin pack back in 2019 and the Founder's Cape is showing properly for me. (1.16.200)

My founders cape is still mia. I tried to reclaim by re-buying the android version (my mobile email s different from back in the day) but skin pack is locked. I was so happy when my cape showed up.when i synched my nintendo switch version.

I had mines since minecon 2019. However, mines still hasn’t reappeared yet sadly. I’m guessing not everyone had the chance of getting their cape back since the patch 1.16.200

I have the same problem. Sadly i made the mistake of clicking the pancake cape before proving that I had it. But yeah I have this exact problem.

That’s exactly what i did. I did the same thing of clicking on the pancake cape, i unaware that the founders cape was mess up.

same with me i clicked on the pancake cape but luckily I was able to clip it so I have proof of my wearing it

i have had it since 2019 too. i have video proof too.

I also have the same issue but I don't think I have any proof of owning the cape but I might in my Xbox records.

 Is there a way to fix this issue.

My cape is also gone from the cape selection page, two of my characters still have it on their backs, It's gone from both PC and Nintendo Switch versions of the game, I hope this gets fixed.

Guys try too do a full uninstall and reinstall of the game because i also know that before the update came back i tended too use alot more mods and i used too install different plugins with bedrock that did make it disappear as well as softlock the game when i went too unlock achievement locked clothing eg: the rainbow sweater but I reinstalled the game and loaded up a custom map and i did get it back but i dont know why or if it will go away again (edit): For window users also make sure your signed in with the account that as it has i have more than microsoft account signed it, this also made problems with bedrock and a few other games regarding paid/transaction based things suddenly disappearing or being locked 

Uh..... usually I don’t have too many problems when I go to the bugs and reports page, but I don’t have Founders cape skin pack. I noticed a few skin packs are missing but man this just hurts. I don’t know if I should make a separate report for this (or look for the main one so I don’t have a duplicate) but for all that I care, I swear to Minecraft’s name I had it and I’m not lying, I don’t have much proof besides older worlds and the 10 year anniversary world itself, but I had it at some point.

I had the pancake cape and the founder’s day skin pack, both are totally gone. I downloaded them both so I should have them, where are they? They just vanished

So yes, I owned and downloaded both the pancake cape pack and founders day pack. So they should not be made unavailable for me now.

I found a fix, just sign out and back in your Xbox live account. It got me my capes back.

I think justin jones solution may work for others because when i originally did that it worked and it reappeared on all the skins i had it equipped However just now due too restarting my minecraft because it was softlocked due too MCPE-42058 it has disappeared again

I can confirm this seems to have also happened to me on Switch. I explicitly recall starting logging in on switch just to get the founders cape and just now noticed that it vanished.

The 10 year anniversary world seems to also be gone from my account which I'm fairly certain I had also downloaded.

Solved for me. I still find it very questionable that the marketplace does not provide any sort of proof of purchase for any free items.

So is there a solution for this? They still don't give me back the cape 😞

My cape is still not back, and yes I did get it back in Minecon 2019. I don't understand why it's not showing up. I contacted support and they told me they cannot give it back without a proof of purchase, which I unfortunately do not have. All I can honestly say is I did in face buy it when it came out and hope to get it back.

I recall "purchasing" it from the marketplace, but now it's just missing. I wish I kept it equipped before it was removed, but I guess it's my fault for updating without checking the news. How exactly do you even prove a free purchase anyway? There's nothing on my Microsoft account for any of the previous free purchases I've made.

I know for sure that I had gotten it for free from the marketplace as I used to use it all the time, but when I saw that It was gone from my list I was so sure that it was just a little bug and that I would get it back that I decided to take it off and later realized that it was gone forever. I don't know if I will ever get it back but I really hope that I will.

I got it for free, from market place. Why is it resolved but not fixed? This is the best cape in the game.

I am also having the same issue as everyone else is i downloaded the founders pack on when i got a notification saying it was in marketplace and i logged on today to find i dont have equipped anymore and it has disappeared from my capes im very annoyed hope they fix it or add a cape section to marketplace 

I too have recently noticed that my golden creeper cape is missing. And of course I being unaware of this took of my cape. I wish to understand how I can get it back. I wish bugs like that didn’t happen but stuff like that is just gonna happen. Let me know how this bug will get fixed. Thanks

Two of my marketplace items have disappeared from my account, my founders cape and Minecon Earth Skin, I know for a fact that I had these cosmetics as I still have both of them on my alternate account (gamertag: SkaterLandau), I also had the cape equipped when it disappeared from my character customizer. Can I get my items back? This is really annoying and unfair. I originally made a post on the Minecraft support page and they told me to watch this thread but so far there has been no fix 

I've got this problem too. I still have the pancake skin, and I have all my skins as I saved them from my switch, cape included, but the cape doesn't show up in the pc character creator.

I just was playing bedrock beta to see what was new, but when I reinstalled minecraft to play in my normal worlds, my custom skin was gone. I reuploaded my skin, but my founders cape is no longer in my list of capes, only the pancake one. I did download the pack in 2019 so I should still have it 😞 I love my golden creeper cape

Hey don't know if this is new information but I had the pack downloaded on a different computer before it broke down so I had to change computers and when I downloaded the game on the new laptop I got the issue. Also I liked the minecart and cake texture from the pack is there anyway to get it back. Also back then I didn't own the game my brother had downloaded the game off his account and a recently bought the starter pack then signed in to have the Cape. Hope this info helps.

Apparently you can still purchase the cape from the marketplace, so I just bought it again and it shows up now ¯\ (ツ)/¯ super weird. I was in an older version (like 1.16 i think) if that matters.

I got my minecraft earth skin back tq mojang.

Aight so I got the cape at the right time back a few years ago, then it suddenly it went away, blah blah blah. Only the Pancape shows up but not the Founder's cape (The Founder's cape still appears on my skin, though), and I'm scared if I unequip the cape, I'll lose it. Its been like this for months to almost a year now. Please help me fix this, thank you.

I checked the marketplace on switch after losing it and the Founder’s Cape wasn’t there, but for my brother on Windows 10 who didn’t lose it, it was in the marketplace. I still really want my Founder’s Cape back😞

I had my founders cape, switched my import skin and the cape vanished from the character creator

I bought this as well and it vanished around the time the caves and cliffs part 1 update came out. I used this cape since its release and would like it back! If not I want a full refund if you plan to not return it! For any one that reads this dont change skin cause you will lose the cape and wont be able to re-equip it. It really sucks for me cause the only skin I have the founders cape equipped to is a reindeer skin and its not the one I really want it on. lol I hope they re-fix this very soon! Also would like to add I play normal vanilla (no beta version) on xbox one s. 😞 😞 😞 

I don't have it anymore since the "Reset Skin bug" everytime i start my game... it's fixed now but i lost the cape
