Thank you so much for tracking ticket MCPE-54465. The crash seems very similar to when the MCPE 0.16.0 update came out in Oct 2016, not sure if that is of any help. Really appreciate everything you're doing to assist in it getting resolved!

Thank you Mojang for tracking, we’ll continue to be patient for an update. I recall this same thing happening a couple years back when the update with the “wither” was added and a week later Mojang fixed everything.

Makes more sense that it is bug that Mojang will hopefully fix, as many regardless of iOS version or android are reporting issues in comment section of this link: https://www.product-reviews.net/down/minecraft-pe-app-problems/

Have seen online people with same issue tried uninstalling app and reinstalling, but problem still exists. App goes to white screen, then crashes completely.

Yeah I am having the same issue. I have been out of town for a few months and when I tried playing the new Minecraft update yesterday my PS4 controller (left joystick) has quit working using DS4Windows .. I really hope they fix this soon, I really cant play now using a keyboard and mouse (or at least I'm refusing to learn how as of now haha) ..
