MC-179534 Villagers cannot use a brewing stand unless it is on ground level. Duplicate

Comments

I believe this happens unless you put it on the ground. The only time I can get a villager to take to a brewing stand is if it is on the floor.

I have had near constant raids upon the village I'm in since the release of 1.14, all without any status effects on me. I am the only one playing on the server and it seems to happen when I am not online as well (I will log in and there will be a raid in progress and all villagers dead.)

Not only this, but often, the raids never seem to end even though there are no illagers in sight. I suspect they've spawned underground which is a problem that needs to be fixed. Although, even with xray resource packs installed that allow me to see infinitely underground, I still can't find them. (There are other bug reports about this.)

This happened again, to confirm. I was standing in the village, no bad omen, and a raid started. I was the only player online.

I believe I'm suffering with this problem in Java too.

Just a half-full raid graph at the top and no raiders to be found.

I also had this happen last night.

  • I am the only person playing on my server. (Meaning, no other player w/ Bad Omen had logged in and triggered the raid.)

  • I have been developing this village for months before updating to 1.14 and had 20+ villagers.

  • I played for about 20+ minutes in and around the village after updating to 1.14, mostly in creative mode. During this time, I did notice that the villagers had gone a bit crazy and left their normal comfort zone in the village and were wandering everywhere, much farther than normal, including the iron golems. I logged off.

  • The next time I logged in, the village was already under a raid, there were only 4 villagers left, who were promptly killed. There was only one of 3 iron golems left, and he was only alive because he wandered far away from the village proper.

  • When I logged in, it was on the 2nd wave as I only had to kill off 2 waves before the raid ended.

  • I did not have any status effects either before or after the raid.

So, this raid started:

  • Before I logged in, or somehow in the middle of it.

  • Without the status effect. (I had never seen any kind of illager prior to this.)

  • All villagers have been killed, and I do not have the Bad Omen.

  • I have no idea how the heck a raid could have possibly started while I was offline, since the chunk is supposed to unload right? If it was all offline, the only explanation is the raid spawned in progress, in the middle of a raid timeline. I dont know.

I also had this happen last night and it was definitely a raid as it had the raid bar at the top of the screen.
