PC, Nintendo Switch, Android: Bedrock Realms server 1.18.2.

I noticed today that boat rubberbanding did not happen to me in a nether highway, even though I traveled 500 blocks. My nether highway is two blocks wide and three blocks tall with a floor of ice. Rubberbanding always happens to me in the overworld when traveling past my render distance.

I don't know if being in the Nether, being surrounded by blocks, or if being on ice causes boats to behave differently, but I will do some testing and let you know what I find.

My problem is finally resolved. My ISP's (AT&T) DNS has issues connecting to login.live. When I manually changed my Switch to point to Open DNS, all my problems resolved.

This issue has been going on for me on the Switch for at least a year for me, and it is a very poor experience. The "Signing into your Microsoft account" screen hangs for 5 minutes or more and never signs me in.

I just spent the last couple of hours trying to fix this to no avail talking with the folks on the official Minecraft Discord. Here are the things I have tried and checked while troubleshooting.

  1. Rebooting the Switch

  2. Changing from my router's network to a mobile hotspot. This sometimes seems to work, but it did not help tonight.

  3. Uninstall Minecraft and redownload

  4. Archived Minecraft and redownload

  5. Cleared the entire Minecraft cache

  6. Checked Switch storage to see if it was low. I had 12.2 gb free in system memory and 41.7 gb on the microsd card

  7. Checked for corrupted data. That came back as nothing wrong with the game.

I get error code "Creeper" over and over again. I cannot attempt the work around where you sign in as a different Switch user because this is not a primary Switch.

So, how do we get this sort of thing resolved? It appears that various iterations of this issue have been happening for people since 2018. I have seen people here saying that they run into a loop of talking with Mojang, Microsoft, and Nintendo support people. The Nintendo folks point to Mojang and Microsoft, and Microsoft and Mojang point to each other and Nintendo. I think whatever the fix is will be an intercompany effort.

Could there be an issue with my Microsoft account? If so, who would I send details about that for the appropriate people to check it out?

Here's another detail that I don't know if it's relevant or not. This user is on a iphone device as well. Could the the same user on Minecraft iPhone be interfering with the switch? My wife never uses the phone, so it's never playing at the same time. Also, this is a digital download rather than a physical cartridge. Current version is v1.17.10. Switch system version is 12.1.0.

Having the same issue on the Nintendo Switch

I have had this error for the last few days.

Having the same issue. It is incredibly frustrating. I click Sign in with a Microsoft Account, and it does not connect for 40 minutes. It doesn't pull up the AK ms connect.
