I have same issue. G430 headset. Game doesn't recognition the headset plugged into USB through logitech drivers so I cant hear sounds. Just some of the sounds are heard and they are really soft and sound like coming from the back of my head.
In the windows 10 edition the sounds worked fine because i could change the sounds device option. But this got removed for BTU. All you need do is put it back in to Windows 10 versions.
I too have this issue. I can't play the game. I used to play win10 eddition and liked it. But since BTU update I can't play because no sounds. It does not recognize the USB Logitech driver properly as the surround sounds. We need option to detect other sound devices.
in short: only the front❓ left and right channels can be heard. I almost cannot hear my own footstep unless I'm side stepping. it appears that other surround headsets do this too that have the same predicament (2 channel by default drivers, multichannel with manufacture drivers)
The game does not recognize the USB plugged in devices with multichannels.
(workaround is to remove the USB connector and plug device into normal sockets, but then I miss out on the Surround sound, Does this mean BTU doesn't support surround sound?)
This is not resolved. It still happens. Although this is a duplicate issue of. MCPE-16588
