Logitech g430 issue with surround sound

I wanted to play minecraft windows 10 edition today since my friend told me about it. So i started the game and wanted to play and noticed that the click sound was off. So i got into a game and the sound was absolutly wrong like it sounded like my headsets drivers didnt really work. Sometimes it sounded like its only the left side im hearing and sometimes only the right side. When i move i cant really hear the footsteps sound and everything is off. Its really weird since every other game and the minecraft java edition sounds completly normal. I searched this problem up and couldnt really find solutions to this problem. Please fix this annoying bug so i can enjoy minecraft again.

i have the exact same problem... its so bad that it make minecraft win10 edition unplayable in survival mode.(cant hear monster in the right place)

I also have this problem with the Logitech G633.

"When walking in a straight line the sound of walking stops playing. (Also for sprinting). When you start walking you'll hear some steps. The sound of the first steps play from the right speaker of my headset and sometimes the left. (Not both at the same time). After that the sound stops.
But after switching my headset from Stereo to Virtual Surround sound, the sound plays fine but it keeps coming from the right and sometimes from the left side. It also sounds a bit like the sound is coming from behind / the sound is being played behind the player."

This is what I had in my own report.

Problem is still present in version: 1.2.6.55

I too have this issue. I can't play the game. I used to play win10 eddition and liked it. But since BTU update I can't play because no sounds. It does not recognize the USB Logitech driver properly as the surround sounds. We need option to detect other sound devices.

in short: only the front❓ left and right channels can be heard. I almost cannot hear my own footstep unless I'm side stepping. it appears that other surround headsets do this too that have the same predicament (2 channel by default drivers, multichannel with manufacture drivers)

The game does not recognize the USB plugged in devices with multichannels.

(workaround is to remove the USB connector and plug device into normal sockets, but then I miss out on the Surround sound, Does this mean BTU doesn't support surround sound?)

Note:  So, here's a fix to fix your Logitech headset to make it have Surround Sound if it doesn't have it.  This is NOT the fix for Minecraft, but a fix for the Logitech headsets in general that are not getting surround sound in Windows.

I unplugged my Logitech g930 headset from a USB 3.0 port, put it in a different port (USB 2.0) and bam.. guess what?  It worked!  I have surround sound.  Again, this does not work with Minecraft.  I uninstalled Minecraft, reinstalled it, and it's still an issue.

This is not just with headsets.  My computer speakers (Gigaware) have the same issue.  They're 7.1 surround sound and when I play music from the jukebox and stand directly in front of it, it's very feint.  When I turn to my left, I can hear it on the right speaker.  When I turn to my right, I can hear it on my left speaker.  When I spin around and face away from it and the jukebox is playing behind me, I don't hear anything at all.  The jukebox test is the best way to see if there's an issue or not.  Also, I've noticed being in a minecart and having your reticle in the middle of the screen, facing forward directly with the rail, you don't hear anything.

Will  update with any additional info I can find or any other workarounds.  So far, none that I've tried work.

This is an issue with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, not with Logitech's headsets or software. Most games (including Minecraft: Java Edition) work fine. I've created a feedback issue to protest the Bedrock team's refusal to address this bug. Bedrock Edition should Support Digital Surround Sound – Minecraft Feedback
