The only way to reduce this at the moment is to remove all unneeded items in your inventory and remove enchanted items from your inventory too. I am currently using unenchanted armour and tools. It sucks though and just isn't worth playing right now.

I am also experiencing this issue. Just hope it's fixed soon as the keyboard and mouse support was what I was looking forward to the most
