MC-239143 Terracotta generating into caves in eroded badlands Fixed

Comments

Can confirm in 1.18.1. Maybe duplicates MC-185936 as said above?

I agree with Avoma. As far as I can tell, this issue no longer exists.

There is an option in "Controls" under the settings menu where you can adjust "scroll sensitivity"

I also cannot reproduce after 21w40a

More information about the bug:

The Bug:

If villagers initiate breeding before going to bed, they will continue to do so if their partner sleeps close to them, and if there are a surplus of beds, they will produce a baby villager.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Place down many beds.

  • Spawn a lot of villagers, but make sure that there are more beds than villagers

  • /gamerule doDaylightCycle false

  • /time set midnight

  • Give the villagers lot of bread while they sleep. They will get up to grab it then go back to bed again.

  • Quickly set the time to noon and back to midnight.

  • The villagers will begin breeding, then go back to bed and continue breeding.

Observed Behavior:

Villagers continue breeding and produce a baby if they sleep near their partner.

Expected Behavior:

Once they fall asleep breeding would be cancelled.

After some digging found it was fixed in 20w19a. Perhaps due to the fix of MC-208740 ?

I tried to reproduce in 1.17.1 and it appears that it has been fixed.

I can confirm in 1.17.1. With a large amount of villagers and extra beds, it does happen. I don't think this is much of an issue though.

Since the model shape changes anyway, you could just re-extend them in those instances

Some more information concerning the bug:

The Bug:

There is z-fighting on the underside of the wall model due to the extra segment which appears when the wall is next to a block.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Obtain a wall and block.

  • Place the wall next to the block, floating in the air so you can see the underside of the wall.

  • Fly right up against the underside of the wall and move your camera slightly back and forth.

  • Observe the edges of the pixels.

Observed Behavior:

There is slight z-fighting due to the overlapping of the wall extension and the main body.

Expected Behavior:

There would be no z-fighting. This could be achieved making the "extension" shorter, so it doesn't extend into the main body.

I can confirm in 1.17.1. I was also able to capture video attached.

Should i edit the entry? It seems like the bug is Aquifers generating too often.

Yes

I think you need to place light sources and remove them instead of destroying and replacing the blocks. Tell me if this works.

I can confirm this in 21w41a, although it only works when picking it up from directly below you.

Please make multiple bug reports if you have multiple issues.
