I can confirm this. I noticed this as of the pre-release minor update that I downloaded today. I now have more villagers than beds. The extra villagers spend the night wandering around and staring at the other villagers sleeping.
After investigating this, I found they can't even walk through open door blocks right now, they need to be completely gone. I ran around my village and harvested all my doors, and my villagers immediately started moving again and had professions.
To the reporter - Thank you! I was trying to figure out what was wrong! Ever since the minor update from today my villagers haven't been moving, just staying in the houses, and I had way more unemployed than I used to have and couldn't figure out why.
Can confirm that this is still an issue, despite all of the "resolved cases". I have a 1.13 world converted to 1.14, with a village that was generated during 1.14 pre-release. My village has approximately 40 villagers and probably about 40+ iron golems with no end in sight. I might even have more golems than villagers now. And they are still actively spawning. They are mostly congregating in one area so I'm looking to design a no-contact trap in that area (and close it off to my villagers) to farm their iron without angering my villagers. They are even spawning inside my bigger buildings and I have to break them out of them.
I'm having the same problem, I have at least 25 golems right now, and just to clarify I don't have 125 villagers, I have like 30. They're starting to cluster in one area, which is actually helpful so that I'm not constantly running into them. This is definitely still not resolved though because I had several spawn yesterday and today.
Just wanted to update. With the pre-release 2 yesterday, this is still a problem.
