But then, why don't that happen with other solid blocks?
Say you push it with sand stone, it won't explode. Rather, it'll be pushed upwards

If this is not the case, That's a new issue then
"WitherSkull not exploding on impact from piston"
(With any solid blocks other then slime blocks)

What's more, if you hook it to a clock, the item will appear in the last place before it's teleported again and again

Yes, that works perfectly.
Searching for the right coordinate can be annoying a lot of times. Well, in this case you can just minus and plus the beginning value, but i found myself lost of direction lots of the time. Having negative value usable should make our lives easier even by a tiny bit. But if it works as intended, i should probably suggest this.
