Another update, still not fixed. I did get the crash reporting message after 30 minutes like KyloRenmcgoo mentioned, so ... progress?
Still not fixed with the PS4 update that was pushed out in the past couple days 😞
We are still having the issue too, it has not gone away for months. The button combination does not work. The game is unplayable. Uninstalling it is not a good remedy because we have too many users on the system each with their own world data.
For those still affected by the issue, could you please try and provide the following information, which we hope will help us to narrow down the problem:
Do you have a PSVR headset attached, but are not using it? - No, we do not have a PSVR headset.
Are you playing on an original PS4, PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro, or PS5? - Original PS4.
Do you have the disc in the drive, if you own it on disc? - Yes the disc is in the drive.
Are you connected connected to PSN? - We have multiple users on the PS4. Some are connected to PSN and some are not. All experience the issue.
Have you linked your PSN account with a Microsoft account? - Of the accounts on the PS4 that have PSN accounts, we did try to create and link Microsoft accounts to them, and that seems to be when the problems started.
Is this the first run of the game, since the update? Or a fresh install? - The problem has been happening for several months now. We first installed the game a couple years ago. It first started happening after an update. We never reinstalled it because my kids are afraid of losing their worlds. (They have a ton of them.)
I use the disc version, purchased a couple years ago. I have been experiencing this bug since the summer. At one point the button combination L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 + OPTIONS + Touch Pad worked but it hasn't for at least a month. Very frustrated.
Just encountered this issue yesterday when trying to install/play Minecraft (PS4 disc version) on my PS5 for the first time.
