I've just re-tested on my rig.

Minecraft v1.17.4101.0

GTX 1070

Vanilla BDcraft in 256x

Game resolution 1920x1080,

render distance 80 blocks,

anti aliasing 16x

While digging with lot of particles, or in my farm with lot of dropped eggs, while it was reaching 4 or 5 fps, I'm now back to normal 60 fps, reached 94 fps in over places of my world that are normally filled.

So now some peoples are affected while others aren't....?!

I've just updated to version 1.17.3402.0 available on Microsoft Store.
in the world I used for testing, with a looooot of dropped item on the floor, near my base, near a village, I used to get 8 or 10 fps, unplayable.

Now using

Vanilla BDcraft in 256x

Grunge BDcraft in 256x

I get at least 55 fps in 1920x1080, most of the time 80fps, so for me performance is back to normal...

I've just updated to version 1.17.3202.0 available on Microsoft Store.

Tadaaaa! It seems the bug is fixed, using Vanilla BDcraft resource pack, the fps seems back to normal, no more deadly lags! Hurra... I'll deeply test, but this seems fine 🙂

The 1st report of this bug is from December 2020. Numerous bugs were filled then closed as duplicate of this one. We're now September 2021, do someone have any information regarding the bug knowledge/handling/forecast or whatsoever? Playing the game with the default texture pack, is becoming frustrating! 😉

Thx, BR,

an impatient guy 😃

I can confirm. I already tried the Vsync fix you are mentioning: disabling it through options.txt or through the NVidia control panel directly, didn't make a difference.

In any world, with any resource pack, as soon as you get close to a location where they are a lot of items (dropped or maybe not), the frame rate falls to 3 o 4 fps. Unplayable.

I would suggest to remove the mention "and RTX card" in this bug's title, since it affects even GTX owner...?!

I've the exact same issue using Minecraft Bedrock for Windows 10 v1.17.1101.0.

I always use "Vanilla BD Craft" resource pack. When I log in my Realm world, or the corresponding local world I downloaded, as soon as I get close to my house (chicken farm/cow farm/etc... so a lot of dropped eggs on the floor), my fps goes from 95/98 down to 3 or 4... Unplayable!

Removing the texture pack to play with basic textures helps a little bit, I can reach 10 / 15 fps...

CPU is AMD 3800XT

64GB of ram

GTX1070

Ps: everything was fine with v1.16 😞

Before doing this extreme workaround, could you please share a screenshot of:

  • Minecraft resource manager using her profile

  • Nintendo switch saved data management view for her profile and for the game Minecraft.

If the size reported by these 2 are different, this will confirm you’re facing the same problem than me!

That's the tricky side of this: I did this, I removed Vanilla BDcraft texture pack, and all other items I purchased, the Storage was completely empty, but I still get the No space left on device error, until I discovered that removing everything from this Minecraft Storage menu has anyway left 2GB of save data in my Nintendo switch profile! 😉 that's why I describe in my previous post the steps I've made to fix this situation...

How I found it:

I had 254Mb of data in Minecraft, No space left on device.

I removed them through Minecraft storage manager, 0 items in storage => No space left on device.
I un installed the game, then installed it again. No space left on device.

I think that archiving the game (remove Minecraft program, but leaving saved data) has left the 2GB of data.
And deleting the game + save data solved the problem, but the Nintendo cloud sync has restored the 2GB saved data in the mean time, so I also get No space left on device.

The only solution for my, was to remove the 2GB save data explicitely from the console data management menu, and flush them also on nintendo cloud explicitely to solve the problem for real.

(?)So for me, when the Nintendo switch reports that Minecraft has 2GB of data for user Mickou, Minecraft Storage manager should list them, because there is 2GB of data, and the proof is that trying to download anything else result in No space left on device error.

I had the problem, even if I deleted all my world/texture pack /skins, and nothing remained in the Minecraft resource manager, the download was not starting due to "not enough space" error.

I went to the Nintendo switch settings, and discovered this:

Nintendo Switch settings -> Data Management -> Save data management (at bottom, sorry my screenshot are from a French console 😉)

then you see this:

There is 2.0GB of save data for this game... click on Minecraft and you get:

So on this screenshot, you can see that my save data for Minecraft for my account is 577Mo, it was 2GB when I get the error while I removed everything from Minecraft, and even after un-installing/re-installing Minecraft, it was still 2GB because I have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription I guess (so it restores my saved data from the Nintendo cloud, instantly reaching the 2GB limit).

So to wipe the save data, you press "erase all save data for 'your profile name'" and you get a freaking warning:

Deleting the save data is the trick, but be careful, and Nintendo is warning you, if you didn't transfer all your Minecraft purchases to the Microsoft account, you could lose them.

And you will lose everything in Minecraft.

Once done, my Minecraft profile was clean, and I was able to download the Minecraft store items I wish.

Later on, I discovered the Nintendo cloud saving of save data was failing, because on Nintendo servers, my save data was still 2Gb, while 0 on my console, so I explicitly asked to forget the save data in the Nintendo cloud through the console menu, in order to enable again the automatic copy from my console to the Nintendo servers.
