I've read through that before and unfortunately it doesn't help at all. It just tells me to pick one or the other, but neither make anything new happen. Upon trying to look up how to force my save to sync to the cloud, I guess they're all supposed to sync automatically and can't be forced to do so. I really don't know what else to do.
On my new Xbox series S, when I start Minecraft, it tries to sync the user data. Sometimes it pops up with the error that my other Xbox is taking a long time to sync to the cloud. Then it gives me the choice to sync the last known save data or to keep waiting. Sometimes no matter how long I wait the message never goes away. Sometimes it says it once and when I press keep waiting it says it synced and then goes away. Sometimes it doesn't pop up at all. Regardless of what it does when it starts or what errors it shows the saves remain exactly the same. I guess the only solution people have found is to pay for a realm and transfer their worlds one by one. If that's what I really have to do I suppose I will but I'd rather just be able to sync the save data. Perhaps I can just transfer one using a flash drive if I'm lucky.
It might be a version 0.18.0 bug, but I'm not sure.
I'm having the exact same issue, and so is my fiancee. I hope this gets fixed so our work wasn't for nothing.
So after leaving both Xbox consoles on and signed in for 2.5 hours after constantly switching and playing Minecraft on both and pressing try again for the syncing dozens of times it finally synced at least the one save that I wanted the most. It got most but not all of them. This is still a problem for everyone experiencing it but at least I know it's possible to recover some of them. The character glitch still persists. I can't see any between any of my consoles besides my phone or the console that I made the character on. That's really annoying. But oh well, I'll remake my character one more time and never touch it on another console. Hopefully I don't run into any other issues.
