I only experience this when the shulker box contains the specific mob spawn items:  Beehive and Bucket of Aquatic Mob.  There is no lag for a full shulker of empty Beehives or Buckets of Tropical fish that have not been spawned (from Wandering Trader).  There is a ton of lag when opening or holding a full shulker of full Beehives (3 bees and Honey level 5) or placed/caught Buckets of Tropical Fish with a descriptive name (e.g. 'Gray-Red Snooper').  The lag increases based on the number of items contained.

Just noticed this issue on my Nintendo Switch realm.

This is also possible on Xbox One.

Note: We've only experienced it on Xbox One for some reason...

Montgomery Lloyd, We've never held a  crossbow. We're in survival and we have a crossbow, but we don't use it.

@Nathan Adams

This should not be the case, lava should maintain it's lava texture regardless of the tag existing. Behavior should be removed (as well as it's ability to damage/hurt players and it's particles - the jumping particles) but the texture should remain intact. Otherwise, why is water still the water texture when the Vanilla data pack is removed? I understand "lava" doesn't exist - but neither does water if Vanilla is disabled - so why are the textures still water? Unless data packs incorporate resource packs, this just seems inconsistent with server's not meant to control client's resources. Either disabling the Vanilla pack should result in an error texture or lava should keep its own textures with just a loss of behavior. (Same for water). It's especially inconsistent considering the fact that the item for lava bucket maintains the lava texture when the fluid itself does not.

I have added the logs that I got while testing the different scenarios for recipes.

Adding a colon ( : ) after a non-valid character seems to not crash the game.

> "minecraft:acacia_bark:" = crash
> "minecraft:acacia_bark?:" = no crash

Error given when adding the "?:"

Couldn't execute command for Winter_Snake: give Winter_Snake minecraft:acacia_boat?:
com.mojang.brigadier.exceptions.CommandSyntaxException: Expected whitespace to end one argument, but found trailing data at position 39: ...cacia_boat<--[HERE]

vs error given with ":"

Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Non [a-z0-9/._-] character in path of location: minecraft:acacia_boat:

Asked to test by Tryashstar: "aca?cia::"

Couldn't execute command for Winter_Snake: give Winter_Snake minecraft:aca?cia::
com.mojang.brigadier.exceptions.CommandSyntaxException: Unknown item 'minecraft:aca' at position 18: ...ter_Snake <--[HERE]

This error seems to stop caring after an invalid character is found and ignores the trailing colons, but my guess would be that the colon causes a crash because it's a special case regarding namespaces.

This seems to be resolved in recent builds.

MC-54366 is saying that the piston can push blocks outside the boundary, but the piston is still inside the boundary itself. My problem is that, my piston is outside the boundary completely and doesn't activate at all.

Pictures uploaded. The first three photos are of the spawn pad itself. The second three photos are the piston working when the spawn pad is within worldborder and the last three are when its outside the boundary.

EDIT: And the reason I need the spawn pad outside the world border is because I am using this for a P.v.P. setup were the players are free to roam around the world, restricted by the world boundary. If the spawn pad was within the "playable world," the players could easily exploit the system and stay safe from mobs, etc.

I'm still seeing the same behaviour in 14w20b.
In 1.7.9 I consistently get 59-60 fps on the highest quality settings. With occasional, brief drops to mid 40s when it's generating new chunks in the world. In 14w20b I rarely hit 60 fps unless I stand still and don't look around. I'm usually 30-40, fluctuating quite a bit and even lower when it generates new chunks.
The chunks seems to load differently in the snapshots. It's almost like they don't even start loading until you look in that direction sometimes.
I've been in the habit of starting a new hardcore game every time a snapshot comes out to see how far I can get in it before the next one. I'd say I've done that maybe for the last 25 snapshots, missing maybe only 2 or 3. The last three have been essentially unplayable because of this issue. That's the first time I would say that and the reason I joined the bug tracker.

It is still happening with 14w19a.

What mode are you playing in? Exhaustion and hunger is also a factor. If you are exhausted you can't sprint.

This is similar to what I'm getting too. @Samuael Klumpers, I know the behaviour you are describing, but this is different. Ver 1.7.9 works fine, but with 14w18b snapshot you get this problem.
Here's a screenshot.

I've done this in creative, survival and hardcore modes. Basically I approached this location after starting a new world. I'll sit at spawn until the chunk updates drop down to single digits and stay there for an extended period of time. Then I fly up in the air and look around, everything in the sight line of spawn is usually good. Moving away you will consistently run into areas where multiple chunks are not loaded like in the screen shot. This is after chunk updates have dropped down to single digits again.

If you leave the world and join it again everything draws correctly around you, and then exhibits the behaviour again as you travel. As well, if you walk into a chunk it will render.

I'm running linux mint 14, java 7, nvidia gtx660.

This is only in the 14w18b snapshot.

The bug is that, one of the items (e.g. the blaze rod) turns into the iron hoe and vice versa after clicking the button.

If I were to name two hoes (wooden and iron, as I've tested) and name them "Keycard," they stay the same. The wood stays wood while iron stays iron, and they both open the door. What's the difference between tools and items?
