For the dirt path component to this problem: Isn’t an easy fix simply to increase the “travel cost” of every other block except dirt paths by the cost of going up/down 1/16th of a block?

The other possibility is to simply increase the dirt path hitbox to a full block height and just accept the lesser evil.

This really needs to be fixed one way or another. It is so bad

Bedrock villages even occasionally attempt to generate planks on water, but it pretty much always fails, and you get these occasional floating planks.
